SKILLTEC (Skilled Technicians and Engineers) is a registered technical, professional and commercial training institution based in Cameroon. We provide hands-on, practical education designed to prepare students for real work in technical and professional fields.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through skilltec.org, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights available to you.

We collect information directly from you when you use one of the forms on our website:

We only use these documents to process the application or registration you submitted them for, and to verify eligibility where relevant.

We use the information we collect to:

• Register students for courses
• Provide our training and other services

• Send our weekly newsletter to subscribers who sign up for it

If you sign up for our newsletter, we use your name and email address only to send you that newsletter — updates such as new courses, admissions and scholarship deadlines, and student stories. We do not use your subscription for any other purpose, and we do not sell or share it with third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us at the address below.

SKILLTEC does not process card or bank payments directly on our website. Where a fee applies, payment is made separately through MTN Mobile Money, and you are asked to upload a screenshot of your payment confirmation as proof of payment. This approach is intended to limit the amount of sensitive financial information handled directly on our website.

We do not store any MTN Mobile Money PINs, passwords, or account credentials, and we never ask for them.

Our website may use a limited number of essential cookies set automatically by our hosting provider to keep forms and pages functioning correctly and securely. We do not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking purposes.

To operate our website and process form submissions, we rely on trusted third-party service providers, including Netlify, which hosts our website and processes form submissions on our behalf. These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, under any circumstances.

We share information only with the service providers described in this policy (such as our hosting provider), and where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SKILLTEC or others.

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to resolve your enquiry, complete your application, or process your registration. If you have questions about how long specific information has been retained, you can contact us using the details below.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

• Encrypting data in transit using HTTPS
• Using a secure, reputable hosting provider

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using appropriate safeguards.

• Ask us to delete your information
• Withdraw your consent to any marketing communications, including our newsletter

On that last point: we do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for money or any other benefit, so there is nothing to opt out of today. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a clear way to opt out before doing so.

We will not discriminate against you, or provide you with a different level of service, for exercising any of these rights — for example, by denying you access to our website, courses, or admissions process because you asked us to delete your information.

Some of our admissions and scholarship programmes, including Form One entry, are open to students who may be under the age of 13. Where an applicant is under 13, we require that a parent or legal guardian complete or directly supervise the application on the child's behalf. By submitting or approving the application, the parent or guardian consents to our collection and use of the child's personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your knowledge or consent, please contact us using the details below so we can review the information and delete it where appropriate.

Our website may include testimonials, embedded videos, and links to our social media accounts on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. These third-party platforms have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them separately, as we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
