General
SKILLTEC (Skilled Technicians and Engineers in Cameroon) is a private institution offering technical, vocational, and professional education through two divisions: SKILLTEC TVET and SHIPS (Skilltec Higher Institution of Professional Studies). We also provide technical services and equipment solutions to industry.
Yes. SKILLTEC is authorized by the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP) with Registration Number 00000458. Our SHIPS programmes also work toward CNESP/MINESUP compliance for higher education delivery.
We currently operate two campuses, both in Bonadikombo, Limbe — one dedicated to SHIPS and another dedicated to SKILLTEC TVET. Contact us for exact directions to either campus.
SKILLTEC TVET offers hands-on technical and vocational trade training leading to certificates. SHIPS is our higher education division, offering HND-level and degree-pathway programmes across Engineering, Business, Management, Education, and Arts & Culture.
Admissions & Fees
For SHIPS, you must have passed the GCE Advanced Level or an equivalent examination (at least 2 papers). You'll also need a completed application form, a copy of your birth certificate, and a medical certificate of fitness. Requirements for TVET programmes may vary slightly by trade — contact us for specifics.
The SHIPS registration fee is 28,000 FCFA, payable via MTN Mobile Money. The academic year tuition fee is separate and may vary by programme — please contact our admissions office for the exact figure for your chosen field.
Registration fees are paid via MTN Mobile Money to the number provided during the application process. After payment, you'll be asked to upload a screenshot of your transaction as proof of payment within the application form.
To apply for the Grace Scholarship, you must visit the Application Office on campus. Our staff there will guide you through the eligibility requirements and the scholarship application process directly.
Yes! You can start your application directly from our Apply page or from the SHIPS programmes section, where you'll select your field of study, fill in your personal details, upload your documents, and complete payment — all online.
You'll need to upload your GCE Advanced Level result slip, a medical certificate of fitness, a completed application form, and a screenshot of your MoMo registration fee payment.
TVET Programmes
SKILLTEC TVET offers practical trade training including Civil Engineering trades, Mechanical trades, Electrical Installation, Computer Maintenance, and more — all delivered through a Competency-Based Training (CBT) model with hands-on workshop sessions.

Yes. SKILLTEC has formalized industry apprenticeship and attachment pathways for every trade, giving students real-world, supervised work exposure before graduation.
SHIPS (Higher Education)
SHIPS offers five major programme areas: Engineering & Technology, Management Science, Arts & Culture, Education Science, and Business & Finance — each with multiple specialized fields of study to choose from.
SHIPS programmes are structured around the Higher National Diploma (HND), with clear progression pathways toward Bachelor's and Master's level studies through our mentor universities.
Yes. SHIPS recruits and retains qualified lecturers aligned with both professional standards and our institutional values, supported by mentorship partnerships with the University of Buea and the University of Douala.
Student Life
Yes. We provide structured mentorship, guidance, and counselling programmes designed to support students' character development, discipline, and overall welfare throughout their studies.
SKILLTEC places strong emphasis on discipline and attendance. Repeated absenteeism is addressed through our student welfare and discipline system, which may involve guidance counselling and communication with parents or guardians.

Many students balance part-time work with their studies. We encourage you to prioritize your academic and practical training commitments, and to speak with your programme coordinator if you need a flexible schedule.
SKILLTEC operates under Christian values as part of our institutional foundation, and we may host devotionals or chapel sessions from time to time. We respect the diversity of our student body and welcome all backgrounds.
